Our Children are Dying!
Every day, in America, four children die as the result of child abuse. More than one out of ten of those children had "family preservations services" prior to their deaths! Far too many of those children are never recognized by more than the handful of people directly involved in the case. In part, this is due to the fact that only the most sensationalized cased tend to make it into mainstream media. However, the most complete explanation is the legal shroud of silence called "confidentiality," which effectively protects only the guilty. At Breaking the Silence, we believe that if we failed to recognize this loss of precious life we would be no better than the monsters who have taken those lives, so we are committed to breaking the silence on behalf of the lost victims of child abuse.
About the Wall of Tears

We built the Wall of Tears to serve as a portable and three dimensional memorial to as many lost children as possible. Each brick holds the name and age of a child who has died as the result of child abuse. Click on the thumbnail to the right to view a full size image of the Wall of Tears.
About the Book of Tears
